The Bible warns us in 1 Peter 5:8 to be sober and vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.
Satan is the true enemy. He is a spirit of the dark world according to Ephesians:6:12. It says; For we wrestle not against flesh and blood (people), but against principalities, powers, the rulers of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The moment you begin to hate the person you are witnessing to is the moment you’ve misidentified the enemy at work. This too, weakens your testimony. Satan has no vessel except those who submit to his ways, yet it happens almost automatically these days for many. God loves the soul of men but hates the sin. According to 2 Peter 3:9 it is not His will that any should perish but that all come into repentance. He came that we will have life and have it more abundantly. He gave us the Holy Spirit which bares fruits and much fruits that remain in anyone who accepts Him and live for Jesus Christ. His word says the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.
Satan on the other hand is the father of sin and they that commits sin, especially intentionally, serves him as vessels. If ye continue to live in sin, your soul shall be doomed to eternal destruction like the father of it. Satan was a murderer from the beginning and an accuser of the brethren.
Sometimes you may wonder why there is so much hate and wrong doing among mankind. It is not Godly but is as a result of sin and the manipulation of Satan operating in willing vessels. I say willing because the free will of men to choose between God and the devil plays a very important part in this spiritual warfare. A man living with the Holy Spirit and determined to serve God cannot become a slave to Satan. Darkness has no dominion over light nor can they be mixed.
Blatant identification
Often times we’re instructed, tempted and even faced with situations that call for immediate action. Sometimes at home, with family, friends or even at work with co-workers and supervisors. When you pray, pray for them that love and or hate you Develop a strategy against the tactics of the enemy for they do not change. Before you take action, check your spirit and set your thought process on God. Analyze the situation and find out the spirit of operation. Is this the spirit of God? Will my contemplated action or speech line up with the Word of God? What sorts of seed will I sew into the unbelievers looking for a way out of sin? Will it glorify God?
When you have truly identified who is working behind the scenes you know their code of operation and can easily disarm the enemy. It is written! Man shall not live by bread alone but by some every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. The word is your sword and your mouth is the sword case, open and use it effectively against the enemy. Don’t fight the ememy on his terms, nor waste time hating your fellow men for you will sustain injuries. Christ did not speak of Himself but relied on the power of His Father in Heaven, the Holy Spirit and the written word. What says you? Learn to fight your battles on your knees and dialogue with God. Prayer isn’t a monologue, it’s a dialogue.
Until next time, ave a wonderful week and seek the Kingdom of God. ๐
A Kingdom is a state, country or territory ruled or govern by a King or Queen. In this case we’ll be focusing on a King.
The Kingdom given ๐๐
Genesis 1:26 shares God’s plan for man in the beginning. It says, “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” It was and still in God’s plan for man to have Earth as their kingdom, to be Lord and have dominion over it. To take care of it and glorify God.
The word tells us in Genesis 2:7-8 that God formed man out if dust and blew into him the breath of life, then he became a livingsoul. He also placed him in the garden, his kingdom here on Earth. Here again in Genesis 1:28 and Genesis 2:18, the Lord blesses Adam, acknowledged that all He created was good but man was alone so He decided to give man a help meet; woman.
Kingdom Taken
The deception
In Genesis 3:1-6 lays a rather dangerous deception in which the enemy was able to steal the kingdom given to man. He said, “ye shall not surely die” as though referring to the physical though the two were literal based on the instruction God gave man. Death’s sting to the flesh became alive and likewise to the soul of man who has been separated from God in submission to the enemy.
Encouragement
Avoid finding yourself in a position of questioning God’s instructions. Don’t go looking for approval nor counseling from just about anyone whenever you do feel the need for clarification. Ask the Lord about whatever it is you need clarification on in prayer and seek the wise counsel of elders, authorized men of God by God. If not, you will be lead astray by those who use the word craftily as the enemy in disguise.
The scripture further went on to reveal that Satan told Eve that God knows that the day she eats of the tree her eyes will be opened and they shall be as gods knowing good and evil. Take note that Eve then saw that the tree was good forfood, it was pleasant to the eyes and desired to make one wise.
Lemme break that down. Satan’s tactics do not change! He dangles the pride of life, lust of the eyes, the greed and lust of the flesh. God had already made man in His own image as we see in Genesis 1. Adam became a living soul into God where he lived without sin and free of death. He was already esteemed and blessed, even above angels. God visited him, he was royalty and God in this Earth having his own kingdom given to him by God. Kingdom citizens, you are called to know your position in the kingdom. Know who you are in Jesus Christ. Not everything you see with your eyes are good. Illusion is deceptive as the father of accompanying lies is, Satan himself. Be careful what you watch, be careful what you feed into your soul. A common school of thought says your eyes are a window to you soul. Be careful what you open your windows to! Not everything that glitters is gold. She thought it was good for food. Is your belly your God? When last have you even fasted and prayed? Will you allow the desires of your fleshly needs to overthrow the instructions God gave you. Are you purely desiring the finer things in this earthly life and have turned your backs on the word of God? Are we still falling for the tricks of the enemy since the beginning.
Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans:6:16
Did you know whomever you obey is your master? Where does your obedience lies? Romans 6 outlines this beautifully for us. Take a moment to read the chapter. ๐
If you live in sin, obeying and doing the works of Satan you are governed by Him and you are not of God. Full stop. If you are governed by the devil you are in the kingdom of darkness and whatever is yours is now Satan’s own. Once you are a slave, whatever you have is for the master. In Luke 4:6 the word reveals that Satan said the kingdom of the earth are his and he will give it to whosever he pleases. He said it was delivered unto him. My question to you is, who gave him the kingdom? Answer: man gave it to him for God didn’t. It is through man’s obedience to the devil that he gained the kingdom that was given to man by God. Let that sink in for a bit.
Kingdom Reclaimed!
Another planned Trap.
Satan knowing that whomever obeys him becomes his slave and he gains their price possessions, tried the very same tricks with Jesus. His tactics did not change. Luke 4:6-7 states that Satan told Jesus all power and glory of the kingdom is his and he will give it to Jesus if He will worship him.
This is not coincidence. In Luke 19:10 Jesus said the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost! Hallelujah! A worthy mission indeed.
It was a legit temptation; telling hungry flesh to make bread out of stone and to bow for a kingdom He came for. Isn’t it? The devil’s intention isn’t to release you from his rulership without a fight. You gotta understand that there is a warfare going on no matter how calm your environment looks. Put on the full armor of God and stand on His side. Stand for the Kingdom of God. Come out from among darkness! Hallelujah! ๐๐
Jesus’s response in Luke 4:8 is simple yet priceless. He said, “Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Brethren, the word of God is powerful! It is our sword in our mouths. Let us speak the word and rebuke the enemy when he rises up with his standards. Let him know it is written! Hallelujah!! Gloraaay! ๐๐
Do you realize how loved we are? Do you realize by not bowing to Satan God kept us for Himself? Hallelujah! Do you realize what would have happened if Christ allowed the flesh to submit to Satan? We would have been lost with no hope for eternal life nor reinstatement in the Kingdom. He paid the ultimate price by sacrificing the flesh. He was our sacrificial lamb, more worthy than animal sacrifice in the earth which was commanded back in the days of slaying rams and doves for cleansing of sins.
Jesus Christ is Lord and He has a standard for the Kingdom. He said in Luke 5:32 that He came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance. He has called sinners… slaves in Satan’s kingdom unto REPENTANCE. There has to be a change. He declares further in John 3:5 that except a man be born again he may, should not, probably won’t CANNOT enter into the Kingdom of God. You have to put the life you had in the kingdom of darkness to death before you can be born again and this time into the Kingdom of God. That which is of the flesh cannot enter the Kingdom but that which of the spirit can.
Children of God isn’t just human. Hu-man means dust man. Hu means dust, taken from the earth. As believers if we accept the common saying that “I am just human” we will continue to live in sin and deny the power of God in us. We will give the enemy a foot hold to continue provoking us unto sin which ultimately means we serve him. Can’t you see the trickery? God said in Genesis 3:14 the serpent shall eat dust all the days of its life. Isaiah 65:25 declares dust shall be the serpent’s food. It is a spiritual curse also. Satan feed off dust. Humans are made from dust and dust is flesh. You cannot rely on your flesh to serve God. Come on now! It is in the flesh that the tricks of the devil continue to be alive. Kill flesh and live unto God by the Holy Spirit.
As I close today’s post I want to encourage you to be a city upon a hill that cannot be hid, a light in the room that shines regardless of who is inside that room and salt of the earth regardless of how small in quantity you are. Salt does not lose its taste even when small in quantity. Put on the full armor of God and doing all, stand.
I cover this post with the blood of Jesus Christ and cancel every backlash of the enemy, cutting it down from the root! I bind up evey force of darkness and render them powerless before me right now, in Jesus name. I burn up every alter that has been created physically and spiritually against this ministry and I bring into captivity now every thoughts, feelings, opinions and views that will seek to exalt itself against the word of God. I bring into subjection the fowls of the air that will attempt to steal the word from the grounds it will be sown on. They will not prosper but be as chaff before the wind. The angels of the Lord will chase them on. Amen God bless you, in Jesus name. ๐
Praises be to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The holy one of Israel, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I give you thanks and praise for your goodness, your mercy and your grace over my life. I give thanks for a mind to pray, a heart to see your face and authority to bring my memories into subjection. I thank you for this moment and the opportunity that each day brings. I know that each day is special and I am empowered to living it to my fullest potential. There are no sealing on my life, obstacles that cannot be overcome nor barriers that can stand in my way. Infact this is the greatest day to exercise all of the gifts and talents you have blessed me with. My hopes and dreams can manifest today and I approach this moment with great expectations, for miracles, breakthrough and deliverance. I stand before you Lord making no excuse nor justifications for my short comings. I come Lord seeking Your standards and not those of men. I pray you’ll forgive me of any sin that has held me afar off from you. Forgive every thought, idea or intention that is not in line with your word, will and calling or purpose for my life. Uproot any seed of discontentment that’s been planted in my life. Forgive me if I have held back your tithes and give me a heart to restore every person who I have wronged. Just as you’ve forgiven me, I forgive those who have wronged me also, cause me have any bitterness or ill will that I may have hid in my heart. I will not allow sin to cut off the relationship i have with You. Thank you for Lord for reconciliation to You. Bless your name Lord. In Jesus’s name, amen.
Greetings my beloved, it is an awesome opportunity being able to share a word of encouragement with you today. It is an even more wonderful opportunity to give God praises one more time.
Yesterday, as I poured water from a cup into a bottle a revelation came to me. Simple, yet suttle and profound. While I attempted pouring this water from the cup I noticed that the more I tried being cautious to prevent a spillage was the more spillage that occured. However, the moment I decided to go all in with pouring and not trying to prevent spillage was when no spillage occured, but every drop went through the narrow fit of the bottle hole and into the bottle.
I heard the spirit say this is how it is with our relationship with God. It also occured unto me, this is how it is with living the God kind of life. Do we truly trust God or do we always have a back up plan? What sort of back up plan is better than serving God to the fullest and trusting Him with our lives? Is there such a thing as plan B with God?
As believers, we are to trust God fully and allow His words to manifest in us as we go through our daily lives. Let us be reminded that there is no need for caution when God is involved. He knows all things and He is an ultimate source for whatever you need. Hallelujah! He is the only way. Jesus, is the only way (John 14:6). The moment you decide to hold back, it means you’re going to depend on self to do what only God can. The moment you choose to delay stepping into your purpose and doing the word of God the more damage you create towards your faith in the Lord and the more foothold you give to the enemy.
As non believers, where do you store your treasures? Isn’t it more safe to go all the way with God and secure your treasures in heaven where the wear and tearing of this world has no access? Do not hold back from giving your life to the Lord for it is to your own damnation. You lose so much on the way to gaining more if you try to hold back an outstretched hand.
Open your hearts and receive todays gift for the scripture delares there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning with the Lord (James:1:17). Go all the way with Him for there is fullness of joy. Rest assured, your passage to the Kingdom is narrow but you will get in safely when you go all the way with Jesus. God bless you ๐.
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise. Jeremiah:17:14
While I laid await in my heart for God to show me where to fellowship, I started studying the word of God. At the time, I was working at a call center and got promoted from a regular Customer service representative (CSR) to a Quality Analyst (QA) where I work with CSR to improve their work quality and compliance to phone policies. I became more open, brave and eager to share the word of God and speak about His love for humanity. I begun encouraging others to open up to the Lord Jesus Christ and shared my born again experiences. Many listen but a few heeded. Nonetheless, I declared myself open for counselling and encouraging my reps if or when they became sad and pretty much just out of it. We all have bad days at work, right? Simultaneously, a friend of mine Mr. C. Wallace was most times in attendance when I would indulge in talks about the scriptures and how one might be saved. He showed much love and appreciation for the word and we some how, begun evangelizing together. It was amazing! He was and still is a comic all by himself. Lol! For this cause and more our bond grew and we became like brother and sister like, two pea in a pod. He had this calm, welcoming sound reasoning that I always admired. On top of that, he had been dating a wonderful young woman, now Mrs. Wallace, who did something I’d never forget. One morning as I boasted about heading to church on Sabbath, riding my high horse thinking she was in sin because she didn’t keep the Sabbath, she didn’t respond verbally but rather smiled at me. This smile was no ordinary smile. It gave me peace, it was welcoming and for the entire day and proceeding months i remembered that smile and yearned to know more about it. It wasn’t just a simple smile but rather one that reminded me about Christ. There was just something about it.
A decision to be made…
As I grew closer to the couple from training at our work place, I begun to experience change in my temperament without request to do so. An inward change was taking place from the glow they brought with them. Eventually, Mr. Wallace and I begun sharing the coaching of our reps and one day I was told that if been assigned to a new team. I had no idea then, that my now husband was a part of that team. As I continued to lay in wait for God’s leading, I encouraged him to seek the Lord. At that time, I wanted no relationship and I was on a mission to introduce souls to Christ. Eventually, I visited the church Mr and Mrs Wallace attended and found that the word was the main focus. I found that there was true worship, I found that there was little to no flesh among the attendees on that day. Persons were just worshiping freely and the Preacher encouraged us to live unto God, not man. To serve Christ not a day… And to leave sin unto glory. The message was solid. I wanted this. I wanted to grow in the word and focus on my salvation rather than an outward statistic. “I had to go back”, I said. I had to become a part. Initially, it was hard for my flesh because I was still entangled with the enjoyment of travel and social events frequently held at the COG 7th Day. Though I wasn’t well known or regarded as much, I enjoyed the gathering because I have always been deprived of same growing up. I was thinking, “am gonna miss being on the choir, am gonna miss youth events, Amma miss having many musicians for big musical praise and worship..” and the list goes on. It took me weeks after attending the IFDMI before I could truly let go off what I think people would say about me switching churches. I’ve heard many church folks there lambasting ex-members who decided to leave for whatever reason. It is not good for hearing some of the things they say about these people and so I was afraid to leave. The word came to me, you cannot serve two masters and it’s either you serve God in spirit or choose the flesh. I had to decide if really wanted God, just a satisfaction of flesh or pleasing others with staying in COG7th Day. They were gonna talk anyways. I decided to choose God. I decided to choose growth and I decided I wasn’t gonna please the flesh regardless of what they may say.
No Stranger…
Though I was in a different place physically, I felt like no stranger to those who were there at the time. I felt like family for it was not about the physical. Week after week and day after day I was being stripped of the flesh and learning how to truly operate on a spiritual level with the Lord. The Lord is a spirit and they that worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth.
This and more on Kingdom talk soon, until then… Seek good.
